General Dance Floor Size Guide
There are several factors to take into account when selecting the right dance floor size. We have provided a dance floor size guide to help you estimate a size that will work best for your event. For the average party, approximately 30% to 40% of the guests will be dancing on the floor at any given time. There are, of course, exceptions. For example, large wedding parties could have quite a bit more than 40% dancing on the dance floor at one time or at a 50th wedding anniversary there could be less than 20% on the dance floor. Think about your guests and select the size that is best for your event. Check out the setups below for inspiration and ideas for your special event.
- 100 guests = 16′ X 16′ dance floor
- 150 guests = 18′ X 18′ dance floor
- 200 guests = 20′ X 20′ dance floor
- 250 guests = 24′ X 24′ dance floor

- 350 guests = 28′ X 28′ dance floor
